Ten Tecnams will soon be heading to Florida to supplement the fleet at Florida Flyers Flight Academy in St. Augustine, by way of Nesher Aviation.
The single-engine, two-place Tecnam P-Mentor is powered by a Rotax 912iSc engine, resulting in lower fuel consumption and operational costs. The aircraft is equipped with a Garmin G3X Touch avionics suite, which provides pilots in training with state-of-the-art technology.
Nesher Aviation, based in Jacksonville, Florida, specializes in aircraft leasing and fleet management solutions for flight schools and aviation organizations.
“The addition of these Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft marks a new era for our flight school,” said Rainer Pereira Da Silva, CEO and president of Florida Flyers Flight Academy. “With these state-of-the-art aircraft, we are not only expanding our fleet but also enhancing the overall training experience for our students. Our mission is to equip our pilots with the best training tools available, and this investment in Tecnam aligns perfectly with that goal.”
The first Tecnam P-Mentor from this order will be delivered in November, with additional deliveries continuing as part of a long-term fleet expansion plan spanning the next three years. According to the Florida Flyers Flight Academy website, the present fleet includes Cessna 152s and 172s as well as a Cessna C-310 and a Piper Seminole.
“Our goal is to provide student pilots with the best tools available to prepare them for successful careers in aviation,” said Reuven Hahn, managing member of Nesher Aviation. “And the P-Mentor is the perfect aircraft to achieve this.”
