FlightSimExpo, one of the world’s largest flight simulation conventions, is set for June 27-29 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in downtown Providence.

The sixth annual event, produced by the Flight Simulation Association (FSA), is a cornerstone gathering for enthusiasts, aviation professionals, and pilots, showcasing the growing role of home flight simulation in pilot training, aviation proficiency, and aircraft design.

Hub for Innovation and Connection

FlightSimExpo 2025 is designed to be an immersive experience, featuring hands-on exhibits, insightful seminars, practical workshops, and engaging tours catering to everyone from seasoned flight simmers and pilots to those new to aviation.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in flight simulation software across desktop, mobile, and console platforms. The exhibition hall will be a showcase of cutting-edge hardware and peripherals, motion platforms, virtual reality, and home cockpit components.

With over 3,000 attendees and 70 exhibitors expected, the event aims to foster a dynamic environment for learning, discovery, and networking. The range of attendees includes students, enthusiasts, pilots, and aviation professionals, all converging to experience the forefront of flight simulation technology.

A key highlight of the expo is its speaker lineup, comprising pilots, flight instructors, aircraft engineers, and simulator experts. These industry leaders will deliver talks aimed at helping pilots understand how flight simulation technology can significantly benefit their training. For those just beginning their journey into flight simulation, a free tour of the show floor will be available to highlight essential resources and guide them on how to get started.

Enhanced Event Experience

FlightSimExpo 2025 has unveiled its final floorplan, showcasing a meticulously designed layout that includes three stages, dedicated workshop areas, and over 70 exhibitors.

These stages will host content from a diverse group of presenters, including developers, content creators, pilots, and aeronautical engineers. Attendees seeking a place to unwind and connect with their favorite Twitch and YouTube streamers can visit the Media Partner Lounge, sponsored by FSElite, MrSquirrelLee, and Slant Alpha Adventures.

Beyond the main exhibition, participants will have access to hands-on workshops and interactive demos covering various aspects of flight simulation, such as cockpit building, aircraft and scenery design, and interaction with online air traffic control (ATC).

A new addition for 2025 is the Exhibitors Lounge, sponsored by Parallel 42, offering exhibitors and sponsors a dedicated space for refreshments, snacks, relaxation, and networking with fellow flight simulation developers. These delegates will also have exclusive access to the FlightSimExpo Developer Conference, scheduled for Thursday, June 26.

Calum Martin, Content Director at FSElite, highlighted the importance of the Developer Conference.

“FSElite is proud to support the third annual FlightSimExpo Developer Conference,” Martin said. “FlightSimExpo is the world’s biggest gathering of flight sim developers, and we’ve made Thursday a safe space for developers, publishers, and hardware makers to share ideas and network around ideas and how their businesses can work together to support flight simmers.”

#FSExpoFriday: Day of Major Announcements

The biggest stage in flight sim will return on Friday, June 27, with #FSExpoFriday featuring announcements from more than 25 developers.

The impressive lineup of participating companies includes industry leaders such as Parallel 42, Contrail, FeelThere, FSS, Grinnelli Designs, Honeycomb Aeronautical, iniBuilds, Navigraph, SayIntentions.AI, SoFly, VA Systems, WINWING, X-Plane, and more. These highly anticipated announcements will be available for in-person attendees and will be simulcast globally on YouTube, commencing at 1 p.m. EDT.

Sean Doyle, a longtime FlightSimExpo attendee and volunteer, shared his excitement for the event.

“Being in the room when some of the biggest names in flight sim are dropping new products on stage is a totally unique experience,” Doyle said. “We’ve worked hard to make FSExpo into a place where the biggest news of the year comes out, and I’m looking forward to seeing what developers have in store for 2025.”

Expand Your Participation With ‘Addon Experiences’

Beyond the core three-day event of developer announcements, workshops, exhibits, and panel discussions, FlightSimExpo 2025 offers “Addon Experiences” to enrich attendees’ trips to Providence.

These optional activities, available before, during, and after the expo, include planespotting excursions, a humorous bus tour of the city, and specialized workshops on aircraft, scenery, and home cockpit building.

An evening event, X-Rave, will fuse aviation with electrifying beats on Friday night. Attendees are encouraged to book these free and paid options promptly, as space is limited, and some deadlines are approaching soon.
